Greedy Cat

The ESOL reading group from Room 8 have been using a well known and much loved story about Greedy Cat. After reading the book, the children have re-written and drawn the story using Kid Pix.

Tenpin Bowling.

On Sunday, my uncle drove my marvellous mum and I to the tenpin bowling at Wairau Park. When it was my turn I felt anxious because I had never played it before. I swung the heavy ball tight and launched it onto the slippery surface. It was uncontrolled and I missed. I felt depressed because I didn't knock any pins down. Then I thought ' this time i know I can smash pins down'. I stopped in silence like a praying mantis waiting for its prey. I then changed my mind and sat down to watch my mum before I attempted it again.
